On the darkest night of the year, entire city was revolting against the darkness. Every house, every street, every corner of the city was decorated with colorful lights and bright Diwas. Rangoli was adding feather in crown with mesmerising designs of many home artists. Infinite echoes were circling round and round. Echoes of bursting crackers, echoes of smiling children, echoes of chuckling of young women, echoes of meetings and greetings, echoes of happiness and joy. Echoes in which one would like to be lost. Metaphorically thousands miles away from the city, there was a stubborn Basti. So stubborn to change. All same for years and years. Basti with many unorganized dull houses, stinking narrow streets and thousands of people with dreams chained up with poverty and prejudice.
