Evening Sentiments 🛡

No matter how hard any human being tries to hide the sins committed by him, he still cannot hide them. When the time comes to suffer the punishment for the sins committed, then the wisdom of the good comes to its place and remembers the sins committed by ownself, what I have done to whom, so always remember one thing that whoever does will suffer. We are all under the shelter of the Lord. 𝓙MṼ

Are You Mistaken About Your Priorities?

Jay Hind If you aren’t spending much time on family or spiritual life or health maintenance, for example, then maybe these aren’t really the most important things in your life. Could you be wrong about your own priorities? Well, sure. In the incredibly complex interactions of conscious mind, subcon- scious motive, and psyche, we’re perfectly capable of masking our true motivations from ourselves even as we might seek to hide them from or misrepresent them to others. Also, the process of writing a list of priorities is different from the process of living your life. Your list could reflect the things you think of when asked to make a list, just as the opinion you give to a pollster might represent the opinion you would have if you had an opinion. You might have listed the elements you think you’re supposed to list, the elements it’s acceptable or right to value most highly. You really wanted to list “making a pot of money” as your num- ber-one priority, but somehow you just did...

Covert Worry Into Concern

Leaders don’t help anyone by worrying. Worry is a misuse of their imagination. Practice upgrading your worry to concern. Then, once you state your concern, create your action plan to address it. If we respond to our problems in life by worrying about them, we will reduce our mood and energy, and lower our self-esteem. Being a worrier is hardly a powerful self-concept. It also is not inspiring to others when they see their leader worrying. Instead of worrying, imagine some action you could take now, something bold and beautiful inspired by the current so-called “problem.” Getting into that habit raises self-esteem and increases energy levels and concurrent love of life. People are more motivated by people in love with life than by people who worry about life. 𝓙MṼ

Real Wealth 🪄

A popular speaker started off a seminar by holding up a ₹2000 note. A crowd of 500 had gathered to hear him speak. He asked, “Who would like this ₹2000 note?” 500 hands went up. He said, “I am going to give this ₹2000 to one of you but first, let me do this.” He crumpled the bill up. He then asked, “Who still wants it?” All 500 hands were still raised. “Well,” he replied, “What if I do this?” Then he dropped the ₹2000 Note on the ground and stomped on it with his shoes. He picked it up, and showed it to the crowd. The ₹2000 Note was all crumpled and dirty. “Now who still wants it?” All the hands still went up. “My friends, I have just showed you a very important lesson.  No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value.  It was still worth ₹2000.  Many times in our lives, life crumples us and grinds us into the dirt.  We make bad decisions or deal with poor circumstances.  We feel worthless.  But no matter what has...

The Black Dot •

One day, a professor entered his classroom and asked his students to prepare for a surprise test. They all waited anxiously at their desks for the exam to begin. The professor handed out the exams with the text facing down, as usual. Once he handed them all out, he asked the students to turn over the papers. To everyone’s surprise, there were no questions–just a black dot in the center of the paper.  The professor, seeing the expression on everyone’s faces, told them the following: “I want you to write about what you see there.” The students, confused, got started on the inexplicable task. At the end of the class, the professor took all the exams and started reading each one of them out loud in front of all the students. All of them, with no exception, defined the black dot, trying to explain its position in the center of the sheet. After all had been read, the classroom silent, the professor started to explain: “I’m not going to grade you on this, I just wanted to give you ...

The Way to Happiness🎈

A simple yet profound story which asks one to contemplate if life is being lived in the right way.  This lesson was by an anonymous teacher to the students that has taught lessons to people across all ages.  The story goes like this: A wise teacher once brought balloons to the school and told her pupils to blow them up.  She asked them to write their name on one of the balloons.  After the children were done writing the names, they tossed their balloons into the hall and the teacher mixed all of the balloons up so that none of the children could trace theirs easily.  Five minutes were given to the kids to find the balloon with their name on it. However, even after a frantic search, none of the kids could find their own balloon. The teacher then asked the children to pick the balloon that was lying nearest to them and give it to the person whose name was written on it. In less than two minutes, everyone was standing holding their own balloon. The teacher ...

The Power of Silence

Once a farmer lost his precious watch while working in his barn.  It may have appeared as an ordinary watch to others, but held a deep sentimental value for it. After searching high and low among the hay for a long time, the old farmer got exhausted. The tired farmer did not want to give up the search for his watch and requested a group of children playing outside the barn to help. He promised an attractive reward for the person who can find his beloved watch. After hearing about the reward, the children hurried inside the barn and went through and round the entire stack of hay to find the watch. After a long time looking for a watch in the hay, some of the children got tired and gave up. The number of children looking for the watch slowly decreased and only few tired children were left. The farmer gave up all his hope to find the watch and called off the search. Just when the farmer was closing the door, a little boy came up to him and requested the farmer to give him anoth...

Story : BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU PLANT

An emperor in the Far East was growing old and knew it was time to choose his successor. Instead of choosing one of his assistants or his children, he decided something different. He called young people in the kingdom together one day. He said, “It is time for me to step down and choose the next emperor. I have decided to choose one of you.” The kids were shocked! But the emperor continued. “I am going to give each one of you a seed today. One very special seed. I want you to plant the seed, water it and come back here after one year from today with what you have grown from this one seed. I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next emperor!” One boy named Ling was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed. He went home and excitedly told his mother the story. She helped him get a pot and planting soil, and he planted the seed and watered it carefully. Every day he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about th...

Story : True wealth

The Real Wealth One day a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the purpose of showing his son how the poor people live so he could be thankful for his wealth. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, “How was the trip?” “It was great, Dad.” “Did you see how poor people can be?” the father asked. “Oh yeah” said the son. “So what did you learn from the trip?” asked the father. The son answered, “I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.” “We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.” “Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.” “We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.” “We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.” “We buy...

When Things Go Wrong In Life...

Many people are experiencing difficulties in their lives than ever before, given the Coronavirus pandemic and economic uncertainty surrounding it. Problems are inevitable and hoping they go away is only wishful thinking. Challenges are sewn into the fabric of life and there are two ways to view them. We can see them as serving no point in our life, or conversely, that they contain the seeds of opportunities for our personal growth. How about you? What do you believe is the reason for problems in your life? What is your mindset when things go wrong? Do you stay stuck in your difficulties or do you try to find a solution? I admit, when problems arise in my life, my initial reaction was one of anxiety and worry. I felt I had little control over the situation and found it difficult to deal with. However, I've come to distance myself from the drama nowadays, instead of overreacting. By distancing ourselves from a situation, we create a space between the problem, so we don't r...
